"I started going to Dr. Wicks in 2000.  I had been to several other chiropractors for migraine headaches, but no one has helped like Dr. Wicks.   I go on a regular basis for my adjustments, even during both pregnancies.  My first daughter was born December 2001 and she was a very colicky baby.  She started going to see Dr. Tom when she was 13 days old.  He helped her in a couple of days.  My second daughter was born in July 2003 and was seen by Dr. Wicks when she was 6 days old.  Both daughters get adjustments on a regular basis and have been extremely healthy.  They have only been on antibiotics once.  My oldest has only had one ear infection, and my youngest has never had an ear infection.  Whenever they happen to start running a fever, I take them in to get adjusted and usually by evening the fever has broke with no medicine.  I could go on forever, but to tell it like it is, Dr. Wicks and his staff are awesome.

In April 2005, my wife started going to Dr. Wicks and he really helped her.  So, she started bugging me to go.  Well, I have tried chiropractors before and they didn't help me.  But, my wife wouldn't quit and I finally gave in and went to see Dr. Wicks in May of 2005.  The first thing I told Dr. Wicks was "I don't believe in chiropractors", but my wife talked me into trying you so I'm here.  We will see if you can help me".
Before Dr. Wicks would do anything, he wanted my medical records and he wanted to x-ray me.  I said Okay and had Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids fax all my medical records to him.  Man, was  he surprised at what he received.  He said he had heard of what I have, but never saw anyone with it before.  He studied all my records and started treatments on me.  To my surprise, he has helped me with my neck, shoulders, lower back and hip pain when no one else could.
 
    Thanks to Dr. Wicks my pain is gone and I feel like a new man!

Working as a nurse, my job often requires me to ask people to rate their pain on a scale of one to ten - ten being very painful.  So, the day I woke up with a horrible pain in my arm, back, shoulder and neck, I rated my pain at a nine.  I called Wicks Chiropractic and asked for an appointment and they got me in right away.  I'd never been seen in the office before.  I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door.  The first people you see are so friendly and helpful.  I couldn't believe how sympathetic and helpful everyone was.  Dr. Smith was also wonderful - giving me a clear explanation of my problem and what he could do to fix it.  By the end of the day, I rated my pain at a three, which was an enormous relief.  I went  to my follow-up appointments and... here just four days later, I feel like a million bucks.  This office far exceeded all my expectations and I plan to keep up the once a month maintenance program they suggested.  I felt like it was a miracle, but it was just good medicine.

Dr. Wicks is great!  I was in a car accident and had neck and hip pain and migraines.  It was important to me to heal, not just cover up the pain with painkillers.  After one visit to Dr. Wicks, my migraines were gone.  My neck injury healed rapidly too.  It is now 10 years later and I visit Dr. Wicks for maintenance adjustments occasionally.  He is a man of exceptionally good character and his staff is wonderful too!
